The Score has teamed up with Blackbear for “Dreamin,” premiering exclusively on Billboard today (Jan. 31).

“Dreamin” -- the latest single off of The Score's upcoming EP Pressure -- combines uplifting lyrics with a thunderous synth-pop sound. “I’m fighting the lows that creep in my mind/ I try to remember that life is a ride/ Down one minute, next one you’re high/ like a wave crashing into the night,” they sing over an Imagine Dragons-esque melody.

The L.A. based duo, made up of Edan Dover and Eddie Anthony, tells Billboard that the song represents an “evolution sonically” for them. “This song in particular and the rest of the Pressure EP was about pushing our boundaries as artists and dealing with the insecurities that come with that,” they explain. “It was one of the scariest times for us creatively, because we knew we wanted to grow and not fit in a box, but naturally, we were fighting our own doubts about getting out of our comfort zone.”

Finally, an assist from Floridian rapper Blackbear brings an extra bit of edge to "Dreamin." “This EP really encompasses what we we’ve been going through and I think Blackbear is someone who related to that and therefore fit really naturally on top of the foundation we laid," the band adds.

Pressure will drop on Feb. 1. In the meantime, get a first listen of “Dreamin” below.
