Camila Cabello is Taking a Breather Before Her 'Next Era' Begins

Now that a year full of touring, major festival performances, an ever-growing collection of awards and other achievements is coming to a close, Camila Cabello is ready to relax -- and clearly she's earned it.

The pop star has played a number of iHeartRadio Jingle Ball engagements in the last two weeks, and had a whirlwind of a Friday when she found out she was nominated for two Grammy awards hours before her performance at New York's Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 7.

After playing the next stop on her Jingle Ball circuit and her final scheduled tour date of the year in Chicago on Saturday (Dec. 8), Cabello posted a flurry of backstage photos and reminisced about her first solo show in the Windy City a year and a half ago.

She also let her fans know that she's taking a break before diving into her sophomore album, and that she's basically counting minutes until she can chill and come back renewed for the "next era" of her career.

Will this next chapter involve reuniting with her pal Shawn Mendes in the studio? We'll have to wait and see, but vacation -- and 2019 -- can't come soon enough.
