Ariana Grande's 'Thank U, Next' Has the Biggest Music Video Debut in YouTube History
The singer’s latest stat indicates that she now holds the record for biggest music video debut in YouTube history, earning 55.4 million views in its first 24 hours. YouTube also confirmed that “thank u, next” is the fastest video to earn 100 million views, reaching the number just four days after its release.
As we previously reported, at its peak, Grande had 829,000 viewers watching her rom-com homage at the same time. With these mind-blowing numbers, “thank u, next” dethrones BTS’ “Idol” as the most-viewed music video in 24 hours.
Grande shared her gratitude to her fans and “thank u, next” director Hannah Lux Davis on Twitter after she heard about the record-breaking news and even joked with her video co-star Matt Bennett that "100 million ppl saw us brush our teeth this week."
