Ariana Grande Is the Most Streamed Artist Worldwide On Spotify, Replacing Selena Gomez

Billboard's 2018 Woman of the YearAriana Grande, is wrapping up her whirlwind of a year by becoming Spotify's most streamed artist worldwide as of Friday (Nov. 30). 

Between her chart-topping Sweetener album, stirring up excitement with her forthcoming "Thank U, Next" music video, and unveiling the first episode of the Dangerous Woman docu-series, the 25-year-old pop star is commanding every corner of the industry.

Grande reached the Spotify milestone after surpassing the mark of 46.9 million monthly listeners, overtaking Selena Gomez for the worldwide No. 1 spot. Her "Thank U, Next" single is currently topping the Billboard Hot 100 for a third straight week.

"Sheesh. thank u," the singer wrote in a tweet referencing the news.
