Mystery School Goes on Sonic Space Trip With 'Meteor': Premiere

Dennis Elliot
Mystery School

Mystery School (Tony Reed Jr. and Owen Bones) released their otherworldly track "Meteor" on Friday (Nov. 16), premiering exclusively on Billboard.

Inviting the listener into a sonic space trip, the duo's edgy track fuses hip-hop, pop and electronic music with a synth-filled bass line and velvety vocals.

"Meteor is a song about the inevitability of change. When things get bad, you may wish for change to come crashing down, laying waste to your old life. Sometimes, you just want to start over," the pair shared with Billboard.

In between morphing wobbles, Mystery School thrives on the thunderous beat while contrasting the glitchy vibe with their smooth rhymes, “Meteor I'm waiting on you/ Something else, someone new.”
