The 17-year-old singer has been on the road with PRETTYMUCH this fall.

Gunnar Gehl is currently out on the road with PRETTYMUCH, melting hearts around North America with his perfectly coifed hair, contagious smile and flirty pop tunes. And now, he's adding another catchy song to his appealing repertoire: a playfully rhythmic love ballad "Outta My Mind," premiering on Billboard today (Nov. 12).

"'Outta My Mind' is basically about this one person who’s different from everybody else," Gehl tells Billboard. "It's about a girl who sees everything the same way I do. When I wrote it, I was so in shock at how amazing she was that I didn't even think it was real life. The only thing I could say thinking about her was 'am I out of my mind?'"

"Outta My Mind" begins with euphoric guitar riffs as Gehl's voice melts into the melody, effortlessly pairing with the synth sounds that take over the track. The 17-year-old singer admits that he has found his soulmate with lyrics that perfectly illustrate the exhilarating thrill of finding true love.

"My favorite line of the song is 'my heart is beatin I'm hardly breathin my kryptonite' because it gives you the exact feeling I had about this person," Gehl gushes. "My heart was pounding, I was losing breath, she had so much control over me that she could be my only weakness."

Earlier this year, the California-native reached over 100,000 streams on Spotify within three weeks of releasing his debut track "Ocean Blue," with the same soothing melodies and sweet sentiments as "Outta My Mind."

While Gehl is hoping to perform some of his own shows soon, opening for PRETTYMUCH on their Funktion Tour has been a huge inspiration for him, seeing fans react as lovingly toward him as they do toward the boy band. Gehl says he has created some hilarious memories with the PM guys, but most importantly, he's learned to not take anything for granted.

"I would say the most key piece of advice that they have given me is just about taking this opportunity and growing as much as I can from it," Gehl adds. "My fans are my number one, so taking the time to spend quality moments with them before and after shows is something Zion [Kuwonu of PM] helped me out with."

Gehl has also been writing more music while on the road ("I got one really dope riff I'm gonna write to when I'm back home," he teases), and promises to put in "some hardcore time" getting an album done. His debut EP is set to release in 2019, but in the meantime, listen to "Outta My Mind" below.
