LÉON Gives in to a Magnetic Love On New Track 'Falling': Premiere

Sandra Thorsson
LÉON

LÉON has debuted her most infectious song yet in the form of “Falling,” out today (Nov. 9).

The track kicks off with a beat that’s so instantly catchy, you’re already nodding your head by the time the Swedish singer-songwriter’s raspy vocals come in. By the chorus, it’s much too late -- you’ll already be ensnared in LÉON’s web, helpless against the power of what the kids refer to as a “certified bop.”

LÉON worked with production team Electrics on the track, and she says the song more or less wrote itself. “It’s a lot about feeling like you have nothing left to lose, kind of -- that feeling of wanting someone so much that you’re willing to come back time and time again, and never giving up,” she tells Billboard, “Which in some ways can seem a bit pathetic, but I liked the idea of writing about it, since I’ve found myself in those kind of situations before.”

The singer is prepping her self-titled debut album, which is due for release in 2019 on her LÉON Recordings imprint in partnership with BMG. In the meantime, don’t sleep on her other recent drop, “Baby Don’t Talk.”
