Lostboycrow & Bea Miller See Nothing as a 'Waste Of Time' in New Single: Premiere

Samantha Sheldon

When you have the flu, it's easy to feel like you're wasting time by doing nothing but resting. But when Lostboycrow has the flu, he writes a song called "Waste of Time."

The electro-pop singer-songwriter was fighting the flu on a chilly night in Santa Fe when his desire for songwriting motivated him to get out of bed, and suddenly he had the first song from his next album. But instead of writing about wasting time when sick, Lostboycrow (real name Chris Blair) used the song to inspire himself to stay positive.

"It is a reminder to love the very act of something for what it is and with whom we share it," Lostboycrow says of the track, "To untangle our intentions and happiness from guessing at the future and enjoy something, regardless of where or what it might bring us."

The punchy, piano-tinged track also features background vocals from fellow rising pop star Bea Miller, whose whispery tone complements Lostboycrow's airy vibe. Their harmonies also bring out the sweet sentiment of the song, making "Waste of Time" an enjoyable listen, even if you're feeling under the weather.

"Waste of Time" is from Lostboycrow's upcoming full-length album, Santa Fe, which will be released in early 2019. Listen to the song below.
