Jennifer Lopez is the subject of a stunning cover shoot for the newest issue of InStyle magazine, shared on Wednesday (Oct. 31). Lopez also sat down for an interview, in which she sheds light on the double standards that she and other women face in the entertainment industry.

The "Dinero" singer took a moment during the interview to briefly commend women in the industry for speaking out against sexism, saying, “It has taken time, but I think we’re in a very powerful moment where women are going, ‘Wait a minute. We’re not afraid to say what we deserve.’ ”

Bouncing off of her comment, Lopez also addressed her personal struggles of being taken seriously as a female performer because she tackles singing, acting and dancing in her career.

“I don’t understand why you can’t be an actress and a singer and dancer as well,” Lopez says. “Like, that’s how this whole business started. Entertainment! And why can’t you be funny and also be a dramatic actress? OK, some people can’t do both. But if they can, let them!”
