Is Carly Rae Jepsen ready to step back into the spotlight? After weeks of speculation, the Canadian star hinted on Tuesday (Oct. 30) that new music might be on the way.

Rumors about the pop queen releasing a song called "Party For One" have been floating around social media for weeks, and now Jepsen has finally addressed the matter. Posting a picture of herself eating pizza and Twizzlers with her cat, the "Call Me Maybe" star cleverly captioned the photo "Party For One."

Jepsen followed up the original photo with a video clip Wednesday (Oct. 31) containing a sample of the new song. "Back on my beat," she sings, as distorted images of her float closer toward the screen.

Earlier in August, Jepsen also took to Instagram to celebrate the two-year-anniversary of her 2016 LP Side B, hinting that new music was coming. “Happy 2 year anniversary to the album that almost never was,” she wrote. “Thank you to the loves in my life who pushed me for more and that means YOU! New era on the horizon and I feel excited and nervous but mostly just grateful. Hold tight.” At press time no further information was available about the single.
