Lauren Jauregui is getting ready to share her great "Expectations" with the world.

After previewing it during her opening stint on the Latin American leg of Halsey's Hopeless Fountain Kingdom tour, the former Fifth Harmony member gave fans a brief preview of her upcoming single on Monday (Oct. 1) via an 18-second snippet of the video for the song.

The moody black-and-white clip features Jauregui slowly walking down a dimly lit hall and looking forlorn in a white dress while standing on a bridge in a park as a muffled snippet of the ballad plays in the background. The video promises that the full thing will be released on Oct. 12.

Meanwhile, Jauregui has been giving periodic updates about her debut solo album, recently telling Nylon magazine that fans can expect her to get personal.‚Äč She promised that most of the songs from her upcoming, not yet scheduled solo debut addresses a singular “you," rather than a partner of any specific gender. Still, Jauregui makes it clear that she does delve into her personal life and her relationships with lovers of all genders. There's one "fiery" song, Nylon notes, that captures a past relationship with a woman.

“My art is just self-explorative,” she told the mag. “I’m gonna talk about whatever it is that I’m going through, so if what I went through, I went through with a girl, you’re gonna hear about it from that perspective. If what I went through, I did with a man, you’re gonna hear it from that perspective, ‘cause I just love souls.”
