Night Lights

Mixing a sense of nostalgia with an excitement for the future, Night Lights debut their new indie ballad "Talk to Me" exclusively on Billboard today (Sept. 27) -- a track that marks the beginning of a new era for the multinational band.

Featuring members from three different continents, the worldwide group showcases their individual cultures with a unique array of pop-rock and soul-inspired sounds in an effort to incentivize people to forget their differences and unite through the power of music.

A lively jam with charming lyrics and jangly guitars, "Talk to Me" explores the members' -- Mexico-native Mau Jimenez, Japan's Yusuke Sato and Norway-born Dag Hanken -- past experiences with love and, essentially, growing up.

"'Talk to Me" is a fun song for us. It's a throwback about reminiscing our first crushes and wondering what would happen if our paths crossed with them again today," Jimenez shared with Billboard. "Writing this song really pushed our boundaries and we hope people have as much fun listening to it as we did creating," he added.

With an end-of-summer, feel-good vibe, the single offers charismatic lyrics like "I packed my bags to chase a dream but I remember your face / I think I saw somewhere that you moved away / Just to see what is like in the East / Did you find your soul in the streets of France / Or in the islands of the coasts in Greece?"

Currently based in Los Angeles, the diverse trio met while still in college in Boston. Throughout their musical journey, they've have thoughtfully pursued a style that balances mindful lyrics and buoyant melodies while still creating dance-friendly sounds.
