A week after Carrie Underwood opened up in an emotional interview with CBS' Sunday Morning about suffering three miscarriages in the past two years while discussing being pregnant with her second child, her fellow American Idol alum revealed that she had reached out to Underwood to thank her for her candor. "I'm so happy for her!" Kelly Clarkson, 36, told Entertainment Tonight on Saturday about Underwood's pregnancy while plugging the season opener of The Voice and her upcoming talk show.

"I didn't know a lot of the situations that were happening behind the scenes ... it's a really cool thing [she did]. I was emailing her, because I was like, 'It's so important that you talk about it.'" Clarkson -- the mother of two with husband Brandon Blackstock and stepmother to his two children from a previous relationship -- said she's had a number of friends go through similar situations. She got a bit emotional recalling the conversation she had with Underwood, saying, "I know you don’t have to, because it’s a hard thing to do, but it makes women who feel inferior, or feel like something’s wrong with them, it makes them feel comfortable and [know] that people go through it.”

And, not for nothing, Clarkson said that Underwood, making the rounds while promoting her Cry Pretty album, is "killing it, and she's pregnant? What?! I hated singing pregnant."
