The single is the first taste of her forthcoming album, 'Norman Fucking Rockwell.'

Lana Del Rey delivered two surprises on Tuesday (Sept. 18): she released a new song and corresponding music video, "Venice Bitch," and announced the name of her new album.

Norman Fucking Rockwell is an apt title for Del Rey's next full-length effort, considering her demonstrated zeal for wry twists on all things Americana, and "Venice Bitch" is a lengthy launch to this next chapter. In an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio, she confirmed that the album is produced by Jack Antonoff and due out next year.

"Venice Bitch" song clocks in at just under 10 minutes, and banks on the neon-splashed melodrama that runs as a through-line from 2012's Born to Die right on up through her most recent release, 2017's Lust For Life.

Hazy guitar, psychedelic interludes and romantic strings pair beautifully with footage of long drives down vintage L.A. highways and the occasional clip of the singer smiling into the camera (and getting pulled over by the cops for goofing off in the back of a pick-up truck).
