Lady Gaga Asks Fans to 'Join Hands in Memory of Those Lives That Were Lost' on 9/11
Tuesday (Sept. 11) marks the 17th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks -- the deadliest attack in the United States to date. Since the 2001 attacks, September 11 has become an annual day of observance and reflection on the tragic events.
Many celebrities extended their condolences on Tuesday, and Lady Gaga took to Twitter to pay her respects as well. The New York native wrote to fans, "I will never forget that day as long as I live. It reminds me in moments like these, as I reflect, the importance of kindness and love in this world."
The singer then suggested her followers honor the lives that were lost on that day and closed the tweet out with #NeverForget.
