Dua Lipa Announces BLACKPINK Collaboration Coming in October

The girl group teamed up with the singer on a new song titled "Kiss and Make Up."

Early Tuesday (Sept. 4) morning Dua Lipa announced that she'll be releasing a super deluxe edition of her self-titled album next month, and one of the three new songs will feature the K-pop quartet BLACKPINK.

The new song, titled “Kiss and Make Up," will be the first international collaboration for the girl group, who made history earlier this year when their Square Up album and single “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” became the highest-charting ones from a Korean female act ever on Stateside Billboard charts.

YG Entertainment confirmed the news to Billboard. Several members of BLACKPINK previously attended the “New Rules” singer’s concert in Seoul.

After announcing the news on Twitter, Dua Lipa later thanked fans for their outpouring of support and expressed sadness about the final version of Dua Lipa. “I’m so happy that you guys are happy!” she tweeted. “I was very excited about thissss but also sad bc it’s coming to an end. But also happy bc new music and new era!!”

Dua Lipa - Complete Edition will be a two disc album featuring over two dozen tracks, and is set for release on Oct. 19. The original version of the album peaked at No. 27 on the Billboard 200 in February.
