It's a boy for Michelle Branch, who gave birth to son Rhys James this week. The pop-rock singer and fiancé Patrick Carney welcomed their baby to the world on Tuesday (Aug. 28).

Branch announced his birth on Instagram two days later, sharing his stats -- the little guy weighed in at eight pounds, 13 ounces and measured 20 inches long -- and gushing over the couple's new bundle of joy. Her update included a sweet photo of baby Rhys.

"Patrick and I are over the moon in love with our son Rhys James Carney," she wrote.

Branch and Carney, drummer in the Black Keys, shared the news about the pregnancy in February: "Well, we were just about to send out Save the Dates for our wedding in May when we got this little surprise," she wrote on Instagram at the time. “Baby Carney is happening this summer and Patrick and I couldn’t be more excited!”

Rhys joins big sister Owen, who just turned 13 and is Branch's child with ex-husband Teddy Landau.

She took one last "family photo" in which she was pregnant a couple days before Rhys was born. "Hoping the full moon does its magic," she said.

She also shared a photo of a gorgeous nursery for the new addition to the family. Check out her pictures below.
