Ariana Grande Plays Intimate Post-VMAs 'Sweetener Sessions' Show for Fans: Watch
The party didn't stop once the VMAs ended on Monday (Aug. 20), it was only getting started. After refashioning "God Is A Woman" with a lavish, Leonardo da Vinci-inspired The Last Supper set at the MTV Awards show, Ariana Grande zipped off to a private post-VMA performance for fans at New York's Irving Plaza as part of her series of "Sweetener Sessions" gigs.
After a short and sweet introduction from her fiance, comedian Pete Davidson, Grande took to the stage to perform songs from her just-released album Sweetener.
Fans took to Twitter and shared some of their favorite moments from the evening, including clips of "Raindrops," "No Tears Left To Cry," and "God Is A Woman." The singer later posted a fan video with the caption, "this was the best night ever. by far the best after party i ever been to. thank you for everything. i love u forever."
