'Youngblood' marks the band's third consecutive chart-topper.

After a week of intense promotion around their new Youngblood album that resulted in their third consecutive No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, 5 Seconds of Summer treated fans to an intimate, celebratory performance with Tumblr at the platform's latest Tumblr IRL event at Brooklyn's National Sawdust space.

Before the June 25 evening show, the Williamsburg venue saw fans lining up since the previous afternoon -- but the long wait treated them to the Instagram-ready neon-hued space, with visual projections created by beloved Tumblr user Signe Pierce and speakers playing 5SOS' new Youngblood album in full. The band hit stage just after 8:00pm, with drummer Ashton Irwin entering first and eliciting a wave of screams from the long-waiting fans, before his bandmates followed for opening number "She Looks So Perfect."

Throughout the set that hit on a slew of 5SOS past hits like "Amnesia" (their highest-charting single on the Hot 100 to date) and new Youngblood cuts (like "Valentine," "Moving Along," and "Talk Fast," the latter of which Irwin shared was his favorite on the record), the guys also had the chance to react directly to fans about their Billboard 200 news.

"We just released an album a week ago and we found out yesterday it's No. 1," bassist Calum Hood told the crowd. "So to everyone who listened to the album, bought the album and contributed to this band over the last seven years of our career, I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you. We love you very much."

Guitarist Michael Clifford had additional thoughts to share about their journey with fans. "This is going to sound quite weird, but currently we are No. 1 on the Billboard [200]" he shared. "No matter what the number is or whatever fucking number we get for any of our fucking albums, it doesn't matter. All that matters is the connection we make with our fans."

Closing out with Youngblood lead single "Want You Back," the connection remained more than intact as lead singer Luke Hemmings handed out a slew of guitar picks for fans in the front row and grabbed a few hands as one last thank you for the night.
