Ariana Grande Shares New Snippet of an Interlude Called 'Pete': Listen

Grande also confirmed that 'The Light Is Coming' music video is on the way.

Three days before the preorder date for her upcoming album Sweetener, Ariana Grande shared a teaser clip of a track on Instagram. Always loyal to her fans, the “No Tears Left To Cry” singer also took to Twitter to answer questions about the snippet, revealing that it comes from an interlude track called “Pete.”

Only a few seconds long, the clip doesn’t feature any lyrics about its namesake, Grande's fiance Pete Davidson. Instead, it showcases her signature croon layered over a minimalistic beat.

The audio is accompanied by a black-and-white visual of an upside down digital clock, showing the time as 12:07 a.m. The video follows the upside-down theme of the album cover, and Grande’s Twitter bio, which reads, “ʎɹɔ oʇ ʇɟǝl sɹɐǝʇ ou | ʍou ʇno” (out now | no tears left to cry).

On the same night, when asked about the music video for “The Light Is Coming,” Grande replied that it will be available on June 20, and “another song" will drop on July 20. She also promised that she would share “a snippet of the jul 20 song between now and then.”
