BTS' ARMY React to 'Love Yourself: Tear' Topping the Billboard 200
BTS’ ARMY is always overflowing with love and affection on social media for the septet and their music, but today proved to be extra special with the news that the act made history as the first K-pop group to top the Billboard 200. Love Yourself: Tear debuted at No. 1 on the chart dated June 2, bumping Post Malone’s beerbongs & bentleys down to No. 2. It is the first predominantly non-English language album to top the chart since Il Divo's Ancora in 2006.
The amazing feat came less than a year after BTS broke into the Billboard 200’s Top 10 with Love Yourself: Her peaking at No. 7 last October. While the band hasn’t opened up about their chart achievement yet, here’s a small taste of the response from BTS’ ARMY as they celebrated how the act’s hard work over the past half decade has paid off:
Congrats to @BTS_twt of course, but congrats to us too! We made this happen. I’m so proud of ARMYs esp U.S ARMYs! We did so amazing with nonstop buying, downloading and streaming. Hard work paid off.
