The singer also performed his new single "A Good Night" while stopping by 'Ellen.'

Fresh off portraying the title character in the highly successful Jesus Christ Superstar Live, John Legend paid a visit to the set of The Ellen Show Wednesday (Apr. 11). The singer performed his brand new single, "A Good Night," and chatted with host Ellen DeGeneres about the TV musical, his soon-to-be-born second child and the ongoing mystery of the Beyonce Biter.

After briefly discussing the Jesus Christ Superstar? role with Legend, DeGeneres couldn't let him leave without a brief test of what he knows about his wife, Chrissy Teigen. On a previous episode, DeGeneres quizzed Teigen in a round of "You Don't Know Jack About John," in which she hilariously failed to correctly answer trivia questions about her husband. Legend delivered an impressive follow-up, correctly answering her least favorite song of his -- "she doesn't like 'Green Light'" -- and even naming all five states she's lived in as well as where she was discovered for modeling.

"She was working at a surf shop in Huntington Beach, California," Legend confidently answered.

Teigen is one of the many celebrities who have chimed in on the now-viral #WhoBitBeyonce controversy, revealing on Twitter that she knew the identity of the infamous actress who took a chomp at Beyonce's face during a party in December. DeGeneres, like all of us, is determined to solve the never-ending whodunit -- so naturally, she asked Legend for the inside scoop.

"We weren't there, first of all, but we know people who were there and they know who it was," Legend explained with a smirk. "We know who it was. We're not talking about it though."

The proud father swiftly shifted the topic of Beyonce to his daughter, Luna. "She had a milestone yesterday. She said 'Beyonce' for the first time."

Legend later took the stage for the TV debut of his new single, the BloodPop collaboration "A Good Night." Dazzled with disco-inspired beats and a harmonious trio of backup singers, the entire audience was up and dancing along. DeGeneres joined Legend at the end under a cascade of confetti.

Watch Legend prove his knowledge of Teigen trivia, keep his lips sealed about #WhoBitBeyonce and perform "A Good Night" below.
