Claire Boucher has returned after a month-long break. The singer, better known as Grimes, originally took to Instagram yesterday (April 10) to promote Janelle Monae's new song "Pynk," as she's featured on the track. When a fan commented asking about the status of her own new music, Grimes was clearly ready to share some updates.

"I just took a month off, a lot of insane shit went down and I'm reorienting my life," the singer wrote back. "I think now I'm screwing my head back on...I have a deep well of shit this time, like sooo many songs so after my album I'll be able to consistently release new music."

The Art Angels singer told fans in February that her sophomore album had been delayed. "Welp no music anytime soon after all music industry is trash," she wrote in a now-deleted Instagram caption. She shared another Instagram update later that month saying that "she's back in the studio," working on "one final album for my shit label." In regards to her collaboration with Monae, Grimes wrote of "Pynk" that she was "blessed" to be in "the prescience of greatness."
