Welcome back to Takeover Tuesday, where each week Billboard taps chart-topping artists and taste-makers to compile their very own playlist exclusive to Billboard's Spotify account. We give the artists free reign to base the list on whatever subject they choose. The only rule? Make it as creative and unique to them as possible.

Before taking the stage to charm the crowd with her soulful voice — and her signature fedora — ZZ Ward needs to pump herself up with some of her favorite tunes to set the tone for the night.

“I love the energy of performing live, there’s an electricity with the crowd that changes every show,” the “Domino” singer told Billboard. “Putting together a pre-show playlist is my favorite ritual and includes some of my favorite artists as well as songs that just make you want to move.”

To get in the mood for her gigs, she curates a wide variety of songs, ranging from classic rock tunes to more current smashes. For her most recent tour, ZZ enlists Drake’s chart-topping hit “God’s Plan,” Led Zeppelin’s hard rock classic, “Whole Lotta Love” and Cardi B’s breakout hit “Bodak Yellow.” She also added some other modern-day hip-hop hits like Offset's, "Ric Flair Drip" and Kendrick Lamar's "Backstreet Freestyle" to the list.

ZZ Ward has been out on the road promoting her 2017 album, The Storm, which topped the Billboard Blues Albums chart last summer. Check out her pre-show playlist and remaining tour dates below.
