Grimes attends the The Costume Institute Benefit celebrating the opening of Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art of the In-Between at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 1, 2017.

No matter how much work Grimes puts out, it’s seemingly never enough. But today the singer took to Twitter to confirm for fans that the follow-up album to 2015’s Art Angels is due out this year.

“I would say spring, but realistically fall,” she said.

Her confirmation on the new project was in response to a fan pointing out the sixth anniversary to her 2012 album Visions.  Grimes responded by saying that the newest project will drop this year, making her average productivity an album every two years.

In addition to being the writer and performer on those two prior albums, Grimes also served as producer. In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2016, she spoke specifically about the struggles she's faced as a female producer. More recently, the singer also modeled for designer Rodarte in the company's fall look book.
