After the announcement was made that Katy Perry would honor Minnie Mouse as the Disney icon received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, KatyCats figured the pop star would pull out all the stops to show some respect. Perry certainly did not disappoint, showing up to the ceremony Monday night (Jan. 22) dressed in exact Minnie Mouse fashion, with the polka-dotted dress, hat and all.

"Who wore it best?" Perry began her speech, before later conceding on Instagram that nobody ever wore the signature red-and-white spotted getup better than Minnie herself. Minnie Mouse was awarded a her star on the Walk of Fame "a brief 40 years" after her male counterpart Mickey Mouse, as Perry sneakily jabbed in her speech.

The rest of Perry's time on the podium celebrated Minnie's legacy, singing praise of Disney's First Lady. “I was maybe two or three years old and into my peripheral vision came Minnie and Mickey Mouse-printed diapers," Perry recalled. "That was my very first memory ever. And of course, it turned into a lifelong devotion."

Minnie's star marks the 2627th awarded on the Walk of Fame. You can stream the Walk-of-Fame ceremony here and check out photos below.
