It might be a little early for prom proposal season, but it’s never too early to make a video letting your favorite pop star know that you're hoping she'll save the last dance for you.
Dayton Modderman, a high school senior from Bradenton, Florida, has hopped on the “ask a celeb to prom” train that's grown over the past few years in honor of his idol, Taylor Swift. “Ever since my freshman year, I’ve always wanted Taylor Swift to come to my prom.” Modderman tells Billboard. “I’ve seen what she has done with fans, like going to weddings or family parties, I was like ‘Why not make a video with her songs and ask her to prom.’”
It’s true -- Swift has been known to make special appearances to fans, even virtually, like when she tuned into Modderman’s Instagram Live video last fall. “When she joined my stream, I went crazy, like no joke. I just remember being so happy and just explaining to her everything I could, without freaking out. I failed at that.”
