"Useless Magic" will hit stores in July.

If you've ever wanted a peek behind the curtain into Florence Welch's creative mind, this is your lucky day. Actually, July 5, 2018, is your lucky day, because that's when the Florence + the Machine singer will release her first book, Useless Magic, a collection of lyrics, poetry and artwork from Welch's sketchbook. "Extremely honoured to announce that I will be releasing my first book of collected lyrics and poetry with Penguin Books next year," Welch tweeted Thursday morning (Nov. 30) along with an image of the cover, which features a sketch of a flaming heart.

Welch also posted a peek at what appeared to be the preface page of the collection, which features her reflections on the power of music. "Songs can be incredibly prophetic, like subconscious warnings or messages to myself, but I often don't know what I'm trying to say till years later," it begins.

The book will be published by Fig Tree, an imprint of Penguin Books.
