Taylor Swift to Perform New Song During 'Scandal' Next Week
Just before Reputation is released, Taylor Swift will play a "never before heard" song from the album during ABC's Scandal on Nov. 9, some time between 9-10 p.m. An extended version of her live performance will air on Nov. 10 on Freeform.
The special appearance, part of the network's "TGIT" programming, was revealed Thursday (Nov. 2) on Good Morning America. News presenter Lara Spencer teased that the tune will be one previously unreleased, and a promo video showed a shot of what looks to be Swift's Rhode Island home. She'll apparently be sitting inside at a piano, with oceanfront views.
Swift is a longtime fan of show creator Shonda Rhimes' work -- after all, she named one of cats after Meredith Grey from Grey's Anatomy.
In August, ABC rolled out a promo spot for Grey's, Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder set to "Look What You Made Me Do." Since then, the pop star has dropped "...Ready for It?" and "Gorgeous." She's set to unveil another album track, "Call It What You Want," at midnight on Friday (Nov. 3).
Reputation will be available just hours after Swift's ABC performance airs.
