Lady Gaga attends a press conference for Gaga: Five Foot Two on day 2 of the Toronto International Film Festival at the TIFF Bell Lightbox on Sept. 8, 2017 in Toronto.

The singer appears to be working on her sixth studio album, following her hospitalization due to complications from fibromyalgia.

Lady Gaga is back at work in the studio on her next album, following recent health scares that resulted in the postponement of her European tour dates -- and with an old collaborator to boot.

In Instagram posts from Thursday night (Oct. 18), Gaga revealed she's working with producer DJ White Shadow, who had a hand in crafting a number of songs on her Born This Way and Artpop albums.

Gaga has bounced back well from her hospitalization last month that led to the cancellation of her headlining performance at the Rock in Rio festival. The singer suffers from fibromyalgia, a chronic medical condition that causes her to experience severe pain in certain parts of her body -- something she explores and brings to light in the recent Netflix documentary Five Foot Two.

By recruiting White Shadow for her Joanne follow up, it's fair to guess that Gaga will be taking a more pop-leaning direction with her next LP. White Shadow helped produce earworms like "Born This Way," "The Edge of Glory," "Applause" and "Do What U Want."
