"It's been a long time coming," but 'Flicker' will be out Oct. 20.

Fans took to Twitter to wish Niall Horan a happy 24th birthday on Wednesday and Thursday (Sept. 14) he thanked them in the best possible way: by announcing that he’ll release his long-awaited solo album, Flicker, on Oct. 20.

The announcement makes Horan the third One Direction alum to release a solo record, following Harry Styles’ self-titled debut in May and Zayn Malik’s Mind of Mine, which he released in March of 2016.

The singer has steadily built hype for the album with singles “This Town” and “Slow Hands,” which peaked at No. 20 and No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively.

He also shared what is presumably the album artwork. See it below.
