Welcome to #TBT Mixtape, Billboard's new series that showcases artists' very own throwback-themed playlists exclusive to Billboard's Spotify account. The curated set features the artists' favorite tracks from their youth and childhood.

This week's spin comes from sister duo Aly + AJ. In the midst of their massive comeback, the former Disney stars return today with the official video for their new "Take Me" video, directed by Alex Ross Perry (Listen Up Philip) and cinematography by Sean Price Williams (Good Time).

The bewitching visuals use the Los Angeles streets as a backdrop, and include surprise appearances by actors Amanda Crew (Silicon Valley), Madeline Zima (Twin Peaks), and Josh Pence (La La Land).

"Staged in a mid-century home at odds with vampiric life, we pushed the video into the genre territory of our '80s dreams as funneled through the minds of Chris Horan (stylist) and Elissa Ruminer (hair and makeup), with inspiration and armor from the clothing of Harris Reed," the sisters say of the clip.

After a 10 year hiatus, the former Hollywood Records signees are in a different place. “Aly and I felt personally discouraged by music in general,” explains AJ on their time away from songwriting. “We still had so much to prove to people, even though we had made a mark in the industry. It honestly was overwhelming,” she adds.

To celebrate the release of their new visual, the sister duo put together this week's #TBT Mixtape, a.k.a. the soundtrack to all of their youthful lip-sync sessions and "car rides en route to auditions."

"These songs were the soundtrack to our various backyards, our living room dance parties, and our car rides en route to auditions. They immediately take us to our childhood and our early love of music. Little did we know that these songs would in turn inspire us to start writing our own music at ages 11 and 13. Each of these still impresses us. We love lip synching to them as much now as we did back then."

Give it a spin below and also check out some throwback snaps of the pair from their childhood.
