Fiona Apple performs onstage during the "We Rock with Standing Rock" benefit concert at The Fonda Theatre on Dec. 18, 2016 in Los Angeles.

Fiona Apple gave her first live performance in nearly a year on Saturday (Sept. 9) at Ohana Festival on Dana Point, California’s Doheny State Beach. She opened with the live debut of “Container,” the theme song to Showtime’s The Affair, and her set also included an unreleased song and covers of the Brains’ “Money Changes Everything” (made famous by Cyndi Lauper), Conway Twitty’s “It’s Only Make Believe,” and Frank Sinatra’s “I’ll Be Around.”

Apple turns 40 years-old on Wednesday (Sept. 13), and when the crowd sang “Happy Birthday” to her, she seemed genuinely thrilled and celebrated with a very cute cartwheel. The singer hasn't released a new album since her fourth effort, 2012's The Idler Wheel... and it's unclear if she's working on new music.
