Shonda Rhimes, Hillary Clinton, Apple's Tim Cook and Lena Dunham also joined a loud chorus of critics.

In its continuing effort to roll back initiatives implemented by the Obama administration, the Trump White House has announced plans to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which gives work permits to undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children, along with protection from possible deportation. After promising to protect those estimated 800,000 young people, the president is expected to announce on Tuesday (Sept. 5) that the White House will delay enforcement of the rollback for six months, kicking implementation of the measure to Congress.

The move has drawn sharp criticism for a number of quarters, one of the most vocal coming from Fifth Harmony's Lauren Jauregui. On Monday (Sept. 4), she tweeted a sharply worded rebuke of Trump's plans. "It's incredible to me that you'll pardon a man who is known for running his prison as a Latino concentration camp and call him a patriot, but then deport kids with a dream to be successful citizens with safe lives," she wrote, with the former a reference to Trump's controversial decision to announce a presidential pardon for former Arizona sheriff who was convicted of criminal contempt for disregarding a court oder in a racial-profiling case.

"You disgust me," continued Miami-born Jauregui, whose parents came tot he U.S. from Cuba. "You and your squad of Republican elite/cowards are truly sick humans." Check out Jauregui's tweet below, plus some other strong condemnations from former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton, Sen. Bernie Sanders and a number of others, some of who stood at a vigil outside of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner's home in Washington on Monday night in protest.
