Sam Smith Tells Fans Something is Coming 'Very, Very, Very Soon'

What is already shaping up to be a huge fall just officially got even bigger on Thursday (Aug. 31) when Sam Smith posted a note to fans suggesting that his sophomore album is imminent. "To all my beautiful fans, first of all I want to say thank you," he wrote. "Thank you for being so patient and for letting me have the past year to really escape into my mind & write music so freely. I feel so rejuvenated and have so many stories I can't wait to tell you."

That was very nice and all. And it was super sweet that Sam said he'd missed his fans and not a day has gone by that he hasn't read their comments and dreamed of singing for them again. But it's what he said next that got hearts aflutter.

"The wait is so nearly over," he added. "Something is coming very very very soon. I am scared & excited at the same time. I've poured my soul and heart into this record."

A spokesperson for Smith said news is imminent, but given that the singer posted a pic entitled "rehearsing" several days ago, and we know he's been in the studio with longtime producer Jimmy Napes (co-writer of "Stay" and "Writing's on the Wall") and Timbaland, it seems like the long wait really is almost over.
