Sheryl Crow Turns Response to Kid Rock-Related Tweet Into New Song: 'Dude, I'm Still Alive!'

An unassuming fan once tweeted that Sheryl Crow would be "rolling in her grave" if she heard that her former duet partner Kid Rock is running for Senate. Crow's response was creative, hilarious, explosive and, of course, musical: She sat down and wrote a song called "Dude I'm Still Alive," which she then shared a live performance of -- where else? -- over Twitter.

Among the song's many highlights is the line in most direct response to the original tweet: "If Kid Rock runs for Senate, I wouldn't be surprised/ But not over my dead body, cause dude, I'm still alive!"

There is no confirmation that the song will have a professional studio recording, but in 2017 sometimes just posting it on Twitter can be enough for the fans. The full track, with accompanying lyrics are available below:
