Allan Rayman

Emerging Toronto-based R&B artist Allan Rayman mysteriously twists sounds and teases luminous melodies with his rich voice, creating a dark dreamscape in his music.

Earlier this year Rayman shared the hypnotizing record Roadhouse 01, released via 512 Productions and Communion Records, bringing his alter ego Mr. Roadhouse to life to overcome his inner-demons. On Thursday (July 27) Rayman envelopes fans into his beautiful, nightmarish world even further with the release of the music video for the popular album track “Repeat” featuring Canadian singer Jessie Reyez

The video directed by Gabriel Adelman and produced by Mad Ruk feels like surrealist short film, featuring tight, tantalizing shots of bodies, bright lights, and fervent flames, as if a dangerous, lustful patchwork quilt. While striking images play on loop like a frightening film reel and the haunting track plays, “Repeat” brings you directly into Rayman’s subconscious.

Director Gabriel Adelman said, "The video is meant to give a dark and abstract view of losing sanity while going through a breakup. I think of it as one of Allan's bad dreams, where the things that still haunt him play ad nauseam in his subconscious (on repeat)."

In addition to sharing the video for “Repeat,” Rayman also announced a set of upcoming tour dates across North America and Europe, as well as the release of his acoustic live session release Allan Unplugged at CBC featuring 10 acoustic tracks, available here and on Spotify.
