Ed Sheeran Sings in 'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Premiere: Watch

Fans didn't have to wait long to see Ed Sheeran's anticipated Game of Thrones cameo. He appeared on the HBO show's season seven premiere Sunday night (July 16) -- and his guest spot even featured some music.

"For hands of gold are always cold, but a woman's hands are warm," Sheeran's character -- one of a group of traveling soldiers previously stationed in King's Landing -- sang.

"That's a pretty song. I've never heard it before," commented Arya Stark (played by actress Maisie Williams, who's a fan of Sheeran). "It's a new one," he told her.

In an interview with Billboard, GoT composer Ramin Djawadi teased the moment: "It's pretty cool. He sings a piece that I wrote with lyrics that came from the book."
