Aaron Carter Arrested for DUI, Marijuana Possession in Georgia

Singer Aaron Carter was arrested in Georgia Saturday night (July 15) on charges of driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug-related objects.

Madison Parker, who is believed to be Carter’s girlfriend, was also charged with possession of marijuana, obstruction of law enforcement officers, and possession of drug-related objects, ABC News reports.

The 29-year-old singer was reportedly in police custody at press time. He was scheduled to perform in Kansas City Saturday night, but was but was forced to cancel, according to a tweet from his account.

"Due to transportation issues, Aaron will not make his set time tonight in Kansas City," the tweet read. "He promises to come back soon. He apologizes to his fans in KC and Mix93.3."
