Katy Perry Really Wants You to Get 'Together' with Her Latest Signing, CYN
Katy Perry is busy promoting her own record. But the "Swish Swish" singer took a few moment out of her day on Thursday (July 13) to give a little love to the latest signing to her recently renamed vanity label, Unsub Records, CYN. The Michigan-born singer/songwriter drops her debut single today (July 14), the bouncy, tropical pop "Together," a Lorde-meets-Diplo summer breeze that features the insta-catchy line "There's no way I could be without you/ You've got a heart that beats in time with mine," followed by the earworm chorus, "Together, together, together, that's the way we go/ That's the way we go-oh."
Katy is very excited about CYN's debut, and the singer is clearly psyched about her patron's support:
A dream come true, words can't explain. Thank you so much Katy --------------

So, who is CYN? There's not a ton of information about the singer out there. But according to her official site, she's just a regular girl from the Midwest. "Cyn came from the middle. The middle class. The middle of the country. The canyon between Chicago and her suburban Michigan roots is astounding, considering how naturally she fits in this puzzle," she writes in a bio. "She describes her upbringing as being very average-- her parents earned an average income, the average amount of children, the average divorce, the all American thing four generations forward. She came from the everyfamily where education and hard work is expected. Her creative pursuits were often dismissed by their Midwestern sensibilities. The improbabilities were said so often, however her ambition was not born from wanting to be like everybody else. She wanted it, and continues to work for it. So, her songwriting was something magical that provided an escape for her."
Here she is hanging with her "Perry godmother" earlier this year:
