"This is an anthem for anyone who's ever been hated on," Lovato says of upcoming song.

Demi Lovato’s loving Lovatics have always stood by her side, and as the pop star gears up to release new music, she took the time to thank the ones that love her most.

On Monday (July 10), Lovato took to Twitter to share a touching message to honor her fans for the love they give and for being patient as she worked on new material.

She said she was recently reminded “that no matter where we live or what our cultural backgrounds are, having emotional human connection and love are absolutely crucial for our existence and survival.” Because of this, the "Cool for the Summer" singer said she was inspired to share just how much her fans empower her.

She said that even as she took time away from music, it reassured her that “every single one of you wrapped your arms around me and show me how unwavering your love and support is.”

As Lovato gets ready to release her latest power pop single “Sorry Not Sorry” on Tuesday, she concluded her message by saying it was her fans who motivated her to write with more energy than ever and will be “the first of many songs” to come.
