Lorde Thanks Fans for Making 'Melodrama' No. 1: '15yo Me Would Have Been So F--king Proud'

Let us take bow for Lorde, the pop royalty who is currently reigning over the industry with her first No. 1 album, Melodrama.To celebrate the recent announcement of her sophomore album's chart-topping achievement on the Billboard 200, Lorde took to Twitter to thank her fans for her recent success in a serious of grateful tweets.
The singer was humbled by Melodrama’s success, revealing that her younger self never imagined being able to create a massive, unique album like her recent release. She shared that she thought successful pop albums had “to be sterile & calculated in craft” and “that 15yo me would have been so f--king proud" of what she created with collaborator Jack Antonoff.
Lorde's first album, 2013's Pure Heroine, debuted and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
