In One Direction’s move to pursuing solo projects since their 2015 hiatus, Niall Horan has been busy releasing a number of folk-inspired, acoustic guitar-based tracks. The “Slow Hands” singer recently brought his acoustic guitar by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to lend his songwriting talents to Fallon for a round of his new musical online segment.

On Tuesday (June 13), The Tonight Show released their latest version of the online sketch Instant Song Challenge, featuring Niall Horan as a guest. In the game, the two improvised original songs based on made up song titles submitted by fans.

Fans called on the "This Town" singer and Fallon to write songs called "Witness the Fitness," "Quickly Clicky Pen," and "Stepping on Toes," and with only Horan's acoustic guitar, a keyboard, a harmonica, and their voices, they managed to write a Metallica-style song, an Irish jig, and a dramatic, lovelorn ballad on the spot.
