Miley Cyrus is making waves with her new song “Malibu” that was released this past week (May 11) and has been hard at work promoting the beach-inspired single in New York City, popping up all over the NBC studios.

The special appearances started last night (May 16) when Cyrus made a surprise visit on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, jumping in unannounced during the host's opening monologue. The singer announced that she’d be taking over NBC shows all day long Wednesday (May 17) in support of the new single.

Dubbing it the “Miley Malibu Takeover,” Cyrus kicked off her day-long promo venture on the Today Show, working her magic in the control room chatting with the whole Today cast including Al Roker and Matt Lauer.

This marks the second surprise appearance on an NBC show as she discussed her music and upcoming performance for the Today show’s Citi Concert Series, which will include the whole Cyrus clan. The "We Can't Stop" singer also appeared on a cute segment with the Today co-anchors featuring Charlie the puppy

Continuing the Miley Malibu Takeover, the singer joined the Today’s Ultimate Cook-Off segment helping Roker judge between the two special salads. Miley showed off her cooking skills with apron and chef hat in tow.

Pretending to be a fan of Access Hollywood, Miley stood outside in the crowd holding a bunch of colorful balloons and a huge sign that read, “Get My New Single Malibu Out Now!!!” while talking about her new song with hosts Natalie Morales and Kit Hoover -- admitting to the hosts that her Today cooking segment was "a little awkward" because they were cooking steak and she's a vegetarian.

The Miley train arrived on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon again, this time with the singer hiding in an adorable panda suit, dancing up a storm. #HashtagThePanda #Malibu

Miley’s final stop is on Late Night With Seth Meyers orchestrating the Late Night band, who was playing an instrumental version of “Malibu” to promote her new single.

Cyrus's NBC takeover was certainly fitting for the singer, as the network also houses The Voice, on which she’s a recurring judge and is set to come back for season 13.
