Niall Horan Shares Sexy New Single 'Slow Hands'

Niall Horan is a man of his word. As soon as the clock struck 9 am EST Thursday (May 4), the singer-songwriter unleashed his new single "Slow Hands" for the world to hear.

Just like he hinted in an interview with Sirius XM Hits 1, the song has a much sexier vibe than his acoustic initial single "This Town." In fact, the combination of a thumping beat and Horan's raspy vocals makes the song hardly even sound like the same guy who sang that song. But what "Slow Hands" shows is that Horan has an edgier side, and that he definitely won't just be sticking to the sweet singer-songwriter sound on his solo debut.

Although Horan decided on "Slow Hands" as his second single, he admitted in his Sirius interview that the whole song was written "pretty off-the-cuff."

"I wanted it to be a little bit cheeky with the lyric," he said. "We wrote this concept about being in the bar. The first line of the song is 'We should take this back to my place' -- usually that's what the guy would say, but we flipped it that the girl would say that, and that's what she said right to my face. With the song, before we even wrote lyrics, we had this big track and it sounded quite sexy. So we thought that this concept would match the vibe of the song and I think we might have been right."

"Slow Hands" follows the One Direction member's solo debut, the acoustic track "This Town," a hint at the sort of musical range we can expect to follow.
