Hey Violet's 'Break My Heart' Wins's #NextWaveApril

Los Angeles rock band Hey Violet is the winner of’s #NextWaveApril with their song "Break My Heart."

The social-networking app that allows users to share videos while lip-syncing to their favorite songs reported that there were more than 766,178 videos created to the 15 #NextWaveMarch finalists, with an accumulation of nearly 162 million views on those videos.

Last month’s #NextWaveMarch winner was MadeinTYO's "Skateboard P."

Hey Violet formed in 2008 as an all-female hard rock group called Cherri Bomb when its members were still in middle school. Since, the line up has changed along with the name and the band is gearing up for its debut album, From the Outside, due June 16 on Hi Or Hey Records/Capitol Records/Caroline Records. Earlier this month, their single "Guys My Age" hit No. 68 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was featured in the top four of Billboard's Should-Be-Bigger Bracket
