John Legend, Zendaya, Bette Midler & More Celebrities React to Failed Health Care Bill
"There's more to do, but this is a real win."
Obamacare will not be repealed or replaced, as a Republican-backed bill to eradicate the Affordable Care Act was pulled by House Speaker Paul Ryan on Friday (March 24) before votes were even cast.
The writing the wall was that the votes were not there to pass the bill, while the writing on the Twitter from celebrities such as John Legend, Zendaya, Bette Midler and more was of celebration and triumph with a bit of smugness thrown in for good measure.
Legend called Ryan "miserable" when sharing his speech to reporters, while Zendaya threw emoji fists up in the air and Midler had some fun with a disposable vinyl glove she claimed to have found in front of Trump Tower in New York City.

When your dream, your ambition is to pass a bill that will take health care from 24M people. Miserable. https://t.co/bOQNknJEgx— John Legend (@johnlegend) March 24, 2017
Thank you to all those who called their representatives and resisted ACA repeal in other ways. There's more to do, but this is a real win. https://t.co/ZkycABBOXk— John Legend (@johnlegend) March 24, 2017
