At long last, Iggy Azalea has announced she will will release new music on Friday.

The track will be part of Def Jam's newest Direct Deposit compilation, Azalea announced on Twitter Thursday (March 2). She also explained it will be a new song off her long-awaited, upcoming album Digital Distortion

While thanking fans for their patience on that album, she explained why it has taken so long to arrive -- namely, her "life has been filled with so many personal changes," she said.

"I felt it was important I made some creative changes too - I needed my album to reflect where my head's at in 2017," Azalea continued. "I really appreciate the patience & I'm so excited for all the new music, new visuals, album preorder dates etc."

More will be coming throughout the month of March, she said.

The changes Azalea referred to most certainly relate to her split from her now-ex fiancé L.A. Laker Nick Young that played out very publicly with a cheating scandal from the basketballer. They officially called it quits in June, 2016, and soon after news came out that Young's ex-girlfriend Keonna Green was pregnant with their second child together. That's certainly enough to make your head spin.
