Justin Bieber Follows Super Bowl Ad with Japanese 'Pen Pineapple Apple Pen' Spot
After teaching us the finer points of touchdown dances during Sunday's SuperBowl LI, Justin Bieber has pivoted to an overseas ad where he stars alongside Japanese comedian Piko Taro, singer of Biebs' favorite viral hit from last year, the inescapable "Pen Pineapple Apple Pen" song. In a behind-the-scenes teaser for the spot for Softbank (which has not yet been released in full in the U.S.), Bieber and Taro goof around with some schoolchildren, Biebs dabs his way down a hallway and, of course, they utter the song's signature refrain.
The spot opens with Bieber in a deep blue suit walking through the hallways of a school followed by a group of students and then entering a classroom where Taro presents him with the necessary props for them to repeat the "PPAP" chorus. It's unclear if the final version will be unlocked for the U.S.
