Remember When 'The Simpsons' Totally Predicted Lady Gaga's Super Bowl Halftime Set?

Lady Gaga on 'The Simpsons.'

The Simpsons are starting to freak us out a bit. Back in 2000, they eerily predicted a Trump presidency and now people are freaking out about how accurate a 2012 episode was about Lady Gaga's Super Bowl halftime performance. In the ep, "Lisa Goes Gaga," Mother Monster is tethered to a flying rig and flies around in a harness while playing a piano. Flash forward to Sunday night, when Gaga, dressed in a flashy custom jumpsuit by Atelier Versace not unlike the one in the show, flew down from the rafters of NRG Stadium like a boss.

Even weirder, elsewhere in the episode there's a group of lights hovering over the stadium during a football game, not unlike the patriotic-colored drones that hung in the air behind Gaga as she sang Woodie Guthrie's "This Land is Your Land." There wasn't a pyro bra, but, hey, there's always next time.

Check out the many memes about the coincidence:
